Get to know our new Graduate Fellow Matthew Libby.
We want to welcome Matthew Libby to the Green Machine as a Graduate Fellow! Join us as we learn a little bit more about Matthew:
Where are you from? Where did you do your undergraduate degree?
I’m originally from Lewes, Delaware. I completed my undergraduate degree at the University of Delaware
What is your primary instrument? Do you play any other instruments?
My primary instrument is the bass trombone. I also frequently play tenor trombone, in addition to trumpet, euphonium, tuba, a bit of ukulele, and I am a singer.
Why did you #ChooseMason?
I wanted an environment where I can pursue my career goals to the highest degree while being a part of a community that cares and supports one another. It was obvious from visiting and speaking to faculty and students that Mason was the exact environment I was looking for.
What are you most looking forward to doing with the Green Machine?
I'm looking forward to blasting some faces off in the EagleBank Arena!
This or That:
Misery Business [Paramore] or That’s What You Get by [Paramore]?
That’s What You Get
What is one song you would like to see added to the Green Machine book?
Do You Wanna Do Nothing with Me? By Lawrence
What is one interesting fact you want everyone to know about you?
I can juggle and beatbox!
We are excited to have Matthew join us with the Green Machine Ensembles. If you’d like to see more of Matthew, be sure to follow Doc Nix and the Green Machine on social media to stay up to date on all of our upcoming performances.
