New Full-Time Staff Hirings

8/18/2022

Welcome our 3 brand new full-time staff members!

We have some big news to share! Due to all of the support we received from the university, community, and Mason Vision Day donors, we have been able to reconfigure the internal structure of the organization to maximize efficiency, productivity, and creativity. By doing so, we have been able to take the major step of hiring 3 new full-time staff members for the Green Machine Ensembles! We couldn’t have made this shift without your support, thank you all very much!

Our new full-time hires include:

Dr. Matthew Dievendorf - Assistant Director of Academics, Research, and Audio Production

  • Dr. Diev has been an indispensable member of the Green Machine family for years serving multiple roles including guitar/bass coach, rhythm section coach, audio producer, sound designer, and head of academic initiatives for Green Machine Ensembles.

Dr. Chris Troiano - Historical Ensembles Program Manager / Operations and Development Coordinator

  • Dr. Troiano has been directing the 8th Green Machine Regiment Band since 2017 and has been working as office staff since 2021.

Travis Peterman - Indoor Drumline Program Director

  • Travis joined the George Mason University Indoor Drumline in 2016 as Program Coordinator and Battery Designer. The following year, Travis became Program Director for the ensemble.

Through their new full-time status, these three individuals will be able to devote more time to their usual tasks as well as take on more administrative and instructional opportunities. We are extremely excited to have these new team members working with the organization and can’t wait to share with you the next evolution of Green Machine Ensembles.
