On November 4th, Green & Gold Soul and Doc Nix performed at the National Association for Music Education’ (NAfME) National Conference at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center in National Harbor, Maryland. NAfME, founded in 1907, works to ensure music study remains an integral part of school curricula, and that all students have well-balanced, high-quality music instruction. The Dirty Gold Brass Band and Doc Nix performed in the lobby of the Center for the Arts on November 6th following a performance by the world-renowned Preservation Hall Jazz Band. Dirty Gold performed original charts written for the band by Andrew Velez and original arrangements written for the band by Chris Troiano, Tyler Teagle, and Rhea Tucker.
