Winterguard

Like all other Green Machine Ensembles, the Winterguard has had to pivot from their normal season due to COVID. During the fall semester, they offered three live streamed clinic events in the month of October to teach flag, weapon and dance techniques. These live streams were included in their Fall Virtual Educational Program, which offered participants the chance to watch videos and receive instruction. In addition, participants submitted videos for personalized feedback from our world-class staff in preparation for future auditions and participation in the Mason World Winterguard.

During spring semester, the staff, student leaders and select former members will meet virtually to prepare for a spring collaboration with the Green Machine Pep Band and the GMU Indoor Drumline. The end result will be a series of small group performances, available online, showcasing the talent of our ensembles.
