Pop Ensembles Update June 2023

On April 28th, the Dirty Gold Brass Band and Green and Gold Soul performed at the Hylton Performing Arts Center’s 13th Annual Gala. Dirty Gold performed background music during cocktail hour, then helped lead the procession into Merchant Hall for dinner. There may have even been a surprise performance of the Fight Song… Green and Gold Soul made guests bring their dancing shoes for a night of dancing following dinner. Two lucky guests were also able to bid on an exclusive Doc Nix and the Green Machine package that included an unforgettable experience with Doc and the band. It was a great night and we thank Dean Davis and the rest of the Hylton Gala team for having us be such a big part of it!

Green and Gold Soul has also been busy throughout the school year performing throughout the DC metro area. On June 3, Green and Gold Soul performed at the Fairfax Mosaic District’s Pride Festival. From performing live and sending in a recorded performance of one of their popular covers to the US Department of Education for their events, to lending their talents to the Green Machine Pep Band during its performance at the White House Easter Egg Roll, and performing at a multitude of Mason events (like the Admissions Patriot Fly-Ins), Green & Gold Soul has had a busy year!
