Pep Band Basketball Kickoff

We helped kickoff basketball season at Mason Madness on October 14th in EagleBank Arena. We were excited to see so many of you there to help cheer on the basketball teams and the Green Machine! The pep band had the opportunity to perform “Before I Let You Go” as our 2022 floor show. This was the band’s first floor show since 2018’s “Welcome To The Jungle.” Previous floor shows include “Rhythm Nation” in 2017 and “Jump!” in 2016. On November 7th, the Pep Band and Emerald Desire performed at the Women’s Basketball home opener. The 7th was also Mason Shadow Day where local high school students had the opportunity to come to George Mason University and explore a day in the life of a music major. The students were able to close out the day by sitting in with the pep band for the basketball game! The Men’s Basketball home opener was on November 11th and the band brought the power to that game also! This Veterans Day game also featured the Patriots Fife and Drum Corps as they accompanied the GMU ROTC unit in their presentation of the colors.
