Historical Ensembles Update

The Patriots Fife and Drum Corps is excited to have a brand new set of uniforms! They still have their iconic green coats, but they now have the option to sport a very fashionable green vest as well. Perhaps you will have the opportunity to see the Fife and Drum Corps leading a procession or parade wearing these new vests this semester!

In case you didn’t know, the Patriots Fife and Drum Corps is offered as a class. If you would like to signup for the 1-credit class, enroll in MUSI 280.004 (Historical Ensembles). The ensemble is run by Shane Nickels and Emily Barone. If you have any questions about joining the group, please email mnickels@gmu.edu.

The 8th Green Machine Regiment Band had a busy summer performing at the Havre de Grace Independence Day Parade, Leesburg Independence Day Parade, Ball’s Bluff Regional Battlefield Park, Seminary Ridge at Gettysburg, and at the 160th Anniversary of the Second Battle of Bull Run/Manassas. Be sure to follow the band on Facebook to stay up to date with all of their upcoming performances!

The 8th Green Machine Regiment Band can also be signed up for as a 1-credit class by enrolling in Historical Ensembles, MUSI 280.004. If you have any questions about joining the group, please email ctroiano@gmu.edu.
