GRiZ Surprise Performance

On September 27th, a small ensemble from the Green Machine traveled to the Wharf in Washington DC to perform with the artist GRiZ. If you are not familiar, GRiZ creates a “self-described “future funk” sound, which mixes electronic music with his fiery live saxophone, energetic funk, and sweeping electro-soul”. He has collaborated with artists such as Wiz Khalifa, Snoop Dogg, Matisyahu, DRAM, and Bootsy Collins. The Green Machine musicians were given a dressing room and backstage passes to the show. They performed in the final number of the show, to a PACKED house, and our very own Doc Nix performed on his Tuba. It was an exciting evening for all.
