Virtual Donor Reception
The Green Machine holds first ever virtual donor reception
For those of you who attended our virtual donor reception, we thank you. For those who were unable to attend, we missed you!
On Thursday, August 27, we held our first-ever virtual donor reception. We wanted to take the opportunity to thank some of our friends and supporters who continue to help us do what we do. A few of our scholarship students got together and recorded their thoughts for the event. You can watch the video here:
During the evening, Doc Nix talked about our opportunities from the past year, including playing at the World Series, our successful fundraising efforts and the instruments we’ve been able to purchase, the newly formed Green Machine Ensembles Alumni Chapter, the development of new course offerings and our plans to create an advisory council.
Over the years, the Green Machine has done an amazing job fundraising for travel, instruments and the extraneous needs of the ensembles. As we chart our future course, we realize we will need to expand our efforts in order to meet our goals. We have plans to bolster all of our programming to include multiple course offerings leading to a degree in marching arts, expansion of our marching program and a facility to be able to accommodate our needs. We believe the best way to accomplish our goals is to establish an advisory council. We would like our council volunteers to be active community members who have experience and knowledge in areas that will assist us in reaching greater heights. If you have an interest in joining our council, or know someone that does, please reach out to Joan Fernandez at email@example.com!
